1. About these terms
These terms explain the relationship between Settl, individual users and companies managing memberships for their teams. A section headed for companies applies in addition to the general user terms where a company provides access.
Settl is operated by Settl Anywhere Limited (company number 17312588), whose registered office is at Unit 14, Sheffield Science Park, Arundel Street, Sheffield, United Kingdom, S1 2NS. Settl Anywhere Limited is referred to in these terms as “Settl”, “we”, “us” or “our”.
About Settl
Settl is a mobile app and membership that helps people discover suitable venues for working, meeting and studying. Companies and venues may use separate web portals.
Who can use Settl
You must be at least 16 to use Settl. Accounts are personal to you and must not be shared.
2. Creating an account
Users must provide the information required by the account journey and keep access credentials secure.
You must give accurate information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity on your account. Tell us promptly through our contact page if you suspect unauthorised use.
3. Memberships
Individual memberships
Settl may offer membership levels such as Standard and Premium. Current features and prices are described on the Pricing page, but that marketing page does not by itself define contractual billing or cancellation rules.
Company and team memberships
Companies may provide memberships to employees and manage access through the Settl Teams Portal. The company must have authority to administer the relevant team accounts.
A company managing memberships must have authority to administer the accounts it adds, and is responsible for the accuracy of the details it provides and for telling us when someone should no longer have access. Where a company pays for a member's access, that member's membership is managed by the company and ends at the end of the paid period once they are removed from the team.
4. Free trials, pricing and payment
Settl currently references a 14-day free trial and Standard, Premium and Enterprise options.
New members receive a free trial when their account is activated; the length of the trial is shown at sign-up. The price, billing cycle and cancellation terms of a paid membership are shown before you commit. Memberships renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled, and cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for.
5. Membership features, venue access and bookings
Features may include venue discovery, international bookings, guest functionality, offers, perks, challenges and events, depending on the membership and venue. Availability can vary and should be checked in Settl.
Venues and third parties
Venues are independent participating businesses and may apply their own rules, booking requirements and third-party terms. Settl does not operate traditional coworking locations.
Guest access
Where a membership includes guests, you remain responsible for your guests while they are with you at a venue, including for their conduct and for following the venue's house rules.
6. Responsibilities and acceptable use
User responsibilities
You agree not to misuse the service: not to break the law or infringe others' rights; not to attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service or interfere with its operation; not to use the service to harass, harm or defraud others; and not to scrape, copy or resell the service or its content without our permission. While using a venue you must follow its house rules and treat its staff and other guests with respect.
Company responsibilities
A company providing memberships is responsible for the conduct of the accounts it administers, for keeping its team list accurate, and for ensuring the people it adds agree to these terms.
Intellectual property
Settl, its branding and the content we provide are owned by us or our licensors, and you may use them only as needed to use the service. You keep ownership of content you submit but grant us a licence to use it to operate and promote the service.
7. Referral programme, challenges and events
Existing users may have access to an in-app referral programme, and applicable memberships may include challenges or events. Exact offers, rewards and availability may change.
Referral rewards, challenges and events are optional extras that can change or end at any time. Rewards are credited only once a referred member confirms their email address and are not exchangeable for cash.
8. Suspension, cancellation and termination
You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if these terms are breached, or to protect the service, other users or venues.
Changes to Settl and these terms
We may update these terms; the current version is always posted here with the date above. Where a change materially affects you we will tell you before it takes effect.
9. Liability
We work to keep Settl available and accurate but provide it “as is”. We do not guarantee that venues, offers or availability will always be as shown, and we are not responsible for the acts or omissions of independent venues. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or unforeseeable losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
10. Privacy
Personal data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy. Website technologies are described in the Cookie Policy.
11. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Subject to any mandatory rights that apply, disputes may be brought before the courts of England and Wales.
